We just heard some bad news. It seems Corey Duffel has broken his arm...again. Apparently the Osiris shredder had pins and screws already in there and he broke it again. BUMMER! The crew at Osiris has said that Corey still wants to show to meet you guys, so hang in there for an update. Either way the stop is going to rock. Caswell, Shuriken and Sean Burns are going to hold it down on the the not so mini 48ft wide mini ramp.Get well soon Corey. We will have to hold a Corey Duffel look alike contest, which I am pretty sure Sean Burns will win. Anybody who comes dressed as Corey to the BBQ will automatically win a cool prize. Kids check with your parents before dying your hair jet black....or don't.

PRO WAKEBOARD TOUR STOP 1 FORTH WORTH, TEXAS

With more than $300,000 in prize money over the eight-event season, athletes compete during the course of the year to be named the King of Wake an award based on points accumulated at each stop of the series. The 2009 series includes the Wake Games, the WWA Wakeboard National Championships, the WWA Wakeboard World Championships and all five stops on the Pro Wakeboard Tour a series within the King of Wake series. The King of Wake is an eight-event series points race. The top athletes who qualify into each contest will compete to earn points towards the series standings. Athletes are ranked according to total points earned throughout the eight-event season. Following the final contest of the season, the highest total points-earner in the series will be crowned the King of Wake. To keep the points race tight, the King of Wake series features the Chase for the Crown format. The Chase limits the eligibility for crown to the top-ten highest points-earners, midway through the season. Following the fifth stop of the series, only the current top-ten ranked athletes in the standings will receive a point bonus, adjusting their totals to keep the points race tight, and making only the top-ten eligible for the King of Wake crown. All athletes will still compete at each of the remaining contests in the series, but only the ten athletes involved in the Chase will have the remaining three stops to top each other in the standings for the King of Wake crown. King of Wake events are a weekend-long carnival of water-sports action. But not all of the action takes place on the water. On land, fans will experience tons of great food and music, athlete autograph signings, chances to win freebies, and shopping at the most cutting-edge stores offering water-sports equipment including boats, wakeboards, wakeskates, sunglasses and the latest in wakeboarding and surfing fashions. The MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour will kick off its 18th season with its first stop of the year in Fort Worth on Lake Moser at Texas MasterCraft on May 29-31. The Fort Worth stop is a three-day event featuring the first of two Tour qualifying rounds for the Pro Men's, Pro Women's and Jr. Pro Men's divisions. Final placement in Fort Worth will earn riders points in the Indmar Performance Standings and help determine which riders will qualify to continue on the Pro Tour. The second stop will be at Praire Springs Park in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, June 19-21.

The Damn AM Skateboarding Contest Series

Basically, the flavor" of the Tampa Contests is taken to locations around the country and Europe, too. Billabong Xxl Global Big Wave Awards Heading Into Final Week Of Season

With only days remaining in the annual event cycle, new entries continue to arrive in record numbers for the Billabong XXL Global Big Wave Awards presented by Monster Energy. Although California and Hawaii have suffered through an abnormally placid year, the rest of the planet has bridged the gap and then some, providing more than 450 pieces of visual evidence of the mammoth surf on the event website at BillabongXXL.com .

New video clips and still photos continue to arrive in all key categories of the event, including the Billabong XXL Ride of the Year Award, Billabong XXL Biggest Wave Award powered by Honda, Monster Tube Award and Monster Paddle Award. Also featured are the Surfline Best Overall Performance Award and the Billabong Girl's Performance Award. In total, over $130,000 in prize money will be awarded in the ninth annual edition of big wave surfing's top event. The competition is open to all qualified, invited surfers at any surf break around the world over the course of a full year and is based on the photographic evidence.

In a year where many announced big wave contests did not take place due to insufficient swell, another record has been shattered concerning the number of surfing regions represented in the 2009 Billabong XXL Awards. That list includes legitimate contenders from areas as disparate as Puerto Rico, Mexico, California, Oregon, Hawaii, Alaska, South Africa, Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania, Chile, Tahiti, Ireland, Spain, France and the Canary Islands. Never before has a year of big wave surfing been acted out across a more global stage.

Although there remains only days before the event period concludes with the Vernal (Spring) Equinox on March 20, 2009, the world's big wave elite are still scanning the planet seeking any possible last-minute pulses of swell in locations like Chile, Mexico and Hawaii. Regardless of any last second upsets, most top riders are already making plans to attend the gala Billabong XXL Awards ceremony this April 17 at the Grove Theater in Anaheim, California. While the 2000 seats at the Grove are invitation only, the entire evening's activities from Red Carpet arrivals to the final award will be broadcast during a live webcast at www.BillabongXXL.com and televised as a one-hour special on ESPN2 on the evening of May 29, 2009.

New this year is the Verizon Wireless Wipeout Award, an interactive category which will be decided by the public at large. Surfing fans will have the opportunity to view video clips of five contenders on the event website and text in their vote for what they consider the most spectacular unsuccessful ride of the year. Nominations in all categories will be announced on or about March 25, 2009.

In addition to all the latest entries in each category, full event details including formats, rules and archives of past XXL years can be seen at the event website at www.BillabongXXL.com .

The Billabong XXL Global Big Wave Awards are presented by Monster Energy Drinks. Verizon Wireless is the official communications provider, Surfline.com is the official surf forecast and Honda the official watercraft of the XXL. Additional support for the event comes from Air Tahiti Nui and Surfing Magazine.

RIP CURL WOMEN'S PRO PRESENTED BY FORD NEW FIESTA

The Rip Curl Women's Pro presented by Ford Fiesta is Stop 2 of 8 on the 2009 ASP Women's World Tour calendar and a favorite for many of this year's competitors.

The official Women's waiting period runs from April 8 to 13, which means that one of the girls will be chaired up the beach to 'ring the Bell' on the Easter weekend.

The additional financial backing injected by the Rip Curl, Ford and the Victorian Government, the Rip Curl Women's Pro is at Bells to stay for a long time coming...

The Rip Curl Women's Pro will feature the world's top 17 ASP surfers plus one Wildcard who will win entry via a Trials event on April 6.

Reigning two-time ASP Women's World Champion Stephanie Gilmore comes into the contest as hot favourite after winning the Bell for the past two years. Her silky big-carving style is a perfect fit for Bells and her knowledge of the break is second-to-none.

Peruvian surfer Sofia Mulanovich won the event in 2005 and has finished runner-up for the past two years. She loves the wave and is determined to get revenge on Steph this year.

Natural footers have won all but one of the Rip Curl Women's Pro events at Bells Beach (Neridah Falconer in 2001 was the exception), but this year's event could possibly turn out another victory for the goofy-footers. Former World Champ Chelsea Hedges is back on Tour, 2006 ASP Rookie of the Year Jessi Miley-Dyer surfs Bells like Occy and ASP rookie Paige Hareb (the first ever New Zealander to make the ASP Women's World Tour) has an awesome back-hand attack. The trio are ready to cause upsets, so keep watch on them this Easter...

Prize Money: US$90,000
1st: US$12,000
2nd: US$7,000
3rd: US$6,000
5th: US$5,000
9th: US$4,000
17th: US$3,500

Bells Beach has been home to the Rip Curl Pro for 37 years and the event has become a treasured tradition for thousands of surfing fans and holiday-makers alike.

The world's best male and female surfers (top 17 women on ASP World Tour) hold centre-stage for the entire April 7 to 18 event window battling each other and Mother Nature in hope of climbing the podium to ring the Bell.

The surfers will share the spotlight with a host of Australia's best musicians come Easter Saturday and Sunday, when we fire up the Live Music Stage in the Bells Beach carpark.

Rip Curl Pro to utilise NEW ASP World Tour Format

The 2009 Men's Rip Curl Pro will be the world's first surfing event to apply the new ASP World Tour sudden death format. No more three-man heats and no losers round It is man-on-man the whole way!

The new format will seed the Top 16 rated male surfers into Round 2, while the back 32 (including the Wildcards) will be seeded into 16 man-on-man heats in Round 1.

The Top 17 Women on the ASP World Tour
