New Orleans Bikefest Motorcycle Rally & Music Festival

New Orleans Bikefest Motorcycle Rally and Music Festival, an AMA sanctioned event, will be held October 17th thru 19th, 2008 at Bayou Segnette State Park in Westwego, Louisiana just outside of New Orleans.

The Bikefest is being produced by Live Free Promotions, LLC., which is owned and operated by motorcycle enthusiasts, Barry Lee and Kay Miller; pictured here in the Badlands, near Sturgis, South Dakota.

SOUTHERN ARIZONA BIKER RODEO 2008

Southern Arizona Harley Riders Motorcycle Club SAHR MC is a non profit organization, SAHR MC holds two semi annual trademark bike rallies to raise funds for local charities within Southern Arizona. These world known trademark runs are "The Run To The Border" and "Southern Arizona Biker Rodeo", two of the largest if not the largest bike rallies in Southern Arizona. AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days

It's the biggest celebration of vintage motorcycles on the continent. And old bikes are just the beginning. CROSS BORDERS TOUR 2008

CROSS BORDERS TOUR 2008 will provide 2 tours. Tour 1 (23 days): from 21th Sep - 13th Oct and Tour 2 (25 days): from 2nd - 26th Nov. bellow are description of the Tour 2, Tour1 is almost the same route but without 2 last days of this description. 25 days ride through Indochina mainland, from the Mekong delta following the history and culture-streams of Indochina to conquer the Ho Chi Minh Trail - the Legendary Trail. Crossing rivers, ride in the wilderness of the Truong Son mountain ranges to the highest mountain resort Sapa which is at the eastern extremity of the Himalayas.

CROSS BORDERS INDOCHINA is not simply the tour, the ride. It is the ethnology live museum where you see, meet, live with local ethnic minorities. The missed of Indochina histories that you will discover, the training course for your physical health and mind.

Competitors to register at Mt Lyford Alpine Resort between 10 and 12 noon

Comp starting at 12 noon. Firstly participants will hit a table top and then run through the half pipe in the paradise valley area, all in one run.

Prize giving to be held at the Mt Lyford Ski Area DayLodge at 4pm
Age Categories for Races: This is an open event for skiers and snowboarders and all ages are welcome to compete. Girls are welcome to compete.

Date of the event: 9th and 10th of August 2008

Venue:Mt Lyford & Kaikoura Area (where the surf is best for the day)

Entry:$ 55 dollars for single event (this includes ski pass for Mt Lyford)

$ 80 dollars for team event (this includes two ski passes for Mt Lyford)

Format for is as follows:

Registration at The Adelphi at 7 pm on Friday the 10th of August. Late entries may not be accepted.

Saturday the 9th

Competitors are to meet at meatworks at 7am.

Competitors will be informed about the event and the decision will be made if the day is for surfing or boardercross depending on the surf and snow conditions.

Surfing will start at sunrise if viable conditions.

Everyone can drive up the mountain for boardercross to start at 11am if surf is no good.

Saturday night pool comp for those involved at the Adelphi Pool Bar.

Sunday the 10th

Competitors are to meet at the area that has not been performed at the time given (7am for surf 11am for snow).

Sunday night prize giving will be held at the Adelphi Restaurant at 7pm

Age Categories for Races:

This event is for snowboarders and surfers

This is an open event and all ages are welcome to compete.

Girls are welcome to enter and there will be a womans section if enough entered.

There will be a singles section and a team section for those who just want to compete in the one area.

Parklife Invitational Street Jam

A downtown rail event where competitors jam on a custom built stair and rail feature in the heart of Queenstown.

The Parklife Invitational is a high profile event and crowd favourite that gains extensive media coverage in print, web and TV. As well as being popular with the ‘Freestyle Culture’ it has a broad appeal to the mainstream public because of its downtown location.

Burton New Zealand Open

The world’s top snowboarders return to the giant superpipe and slopestyle courses at Snow Park NZ for five days of world-class snowboarding action.

The Burton NZ Open is the pinnacle of snowboarding competition in the Southern Hemisphere and attracts the world’s top professional riders including X Games champions, Olympic gold medallists and world champions, all competing for the largest title payout in snowboarding. The male and female cumulative-points champions will each collect US$100,000 after competing in the New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Europe, Japan and USA events, and New Zealand is the first port of call on the international circuit.

Kiteival - Kite Surf Festival around Mauritius (2nd Edition)

Kiteival is unique! - The first kite-surf competition in Mauritius, with various stages around the island.

The first edition, which was held from 1 to 10 July 2007, was a great success, promising well for the future. 37 "pioneers" took part, including both pros and international and local kiters.

The event is open to all level of kiters. This year, it gave amateurs a fantastic opportunity to meet and interact with professionals, an experience to be repeated.

Wimby Rocks

The Vibrations Surf Alliance (VSA) open surfing session on the new Wimby Island surfing break, Bishara Resorts. Expect lost of surfing, jamming to reggae sounds and an after session party!

VSA Surf Jam 5

Vibrations Surf Alliance (VSA) Surf Jam 5 takes place on Saturday 28 June 2008, 11am SLT at Majini Island, Bishara Resorts. The monthly Surf Jam's are members only events, limited to 20 competitors. Surfers will face off in four preliminary heats, narrowing down to 10 surfers in the semis and 5 for the finals' heats. Surf Jam 5 will also help raise money for Relay for Life. The competition has prizes for the top 6 surfers, plenty of music and hot surfing action for spectators!

Grand Haven Beach Vault

This is an extraordinary event that is billed as the world's largest beach pole vault competition right here in front of SurfGrandHaven.com's live webcam. The competion will take place just south of Grand Haven City Beach next door to the Bil-Mar Restaurant. Competitors range in age from 8-75 years old. The event runs on Friday 10am-7pm; Saturday 9am-7pm, with a Sunday rain date.

5th Annual Surfing & Traditions event

Join us for the 5th Annual Surfing & Traditions event this 4th of July weekend in La Push, Washington! Hosted by the Quileute Indian Tribe, the City of Forks and generous volunteers, Surfing & Traditions is a weekend-long event created with the purpose of instilling an appreciation and love of outdoor recreation in youth.

Day One begins with a post-July 4th beach clean-up followed by the Kid’s Camp and Surf Workshop, the heart of the weekend. Children and teens 10-18 are encouraged to sign up for this day of fun that includes surf instruction, water safety and a chance to challenge the waves in a safe, supervised and fun environment.

Day Two is the Surf Competition open to both amateurs and pros. The contest brings talent from the reaches of the northwest and beyond and is definitely an event to stick around for!

The day will end with a raffle with killer prizes including sunglasses, t-shirts, watches and more, all proceeds going to the Forks community.Event sponsors have donated some sweet prizes for winners so bring your game face and come get your shred on. We are keeping our fingers crossed for fun surf!

British Cycling National Series 2008

The first major event at the new Manchester Platt Fields track will be the final round of the North Region Summer Series. This will take place on August 10th and we plan to make this our official opening race event. Registration will be up until 11.00AM with racing at midday. As well as the expert and payback classes we will also be running novice races, so whatever your age and ability you can join in with the racing.

Elings Park BMX Camp

Come ride Elings Park ’s BMX track with other young riders from across the County! BMX camp is designed for riders of all levels and abilities. Improve basic skills, learn track etiquette and get a great workout in the beautiful outdoors. BMX is one of the fastest growing sports in the United States and Elings Park is home to many nationally ranked riders. Each participant must bring their own helmet and a functioning bike.

Swansea's parks BMX

This summer throughout Swansea's parks you'll get the chance to show off skating and BMX skills in one of the many 'jams' organised across the city. If you're aged 12 and above, joins for some street sports fun! Experienced riders will be on hand to give tips and advice to beginners and extra ramps means there's plenty of opportunity to ride!

North East BMX

2008 will see Summerhill setting things off with the help of a brand new start gate. Cheers to Dave Smith for sorting out the new and improved lighter gate! In other news, NEBMX have been confirmed as hosts of the 7th round of the 2008 National Series. This is big news for us and the culmination of many years hard graft by the club. Big changes are planned prior to this event so everyone new and old to the track can look forward to something extra special to their teeth into.

Rally for RAACE 3rd Annual

The Rally for RAACE is a police escorted charity motorcycle ride, benefiting The RAACE Foundation. By participating in the Rally for RAACE, you are helping The RAACE Foundation create awareness about the devastating issues of child sexual abuse. Only when the problem of child sexual abuse is faced openly can we hope to protect our children. Doug Keim & Creative Cycles joins the Rally for RAACE as official spokesperson to help in the fight to prevent child sexual abuse. Champlain Valley Motorcyle Rally

The Adirondack Champlain Valley Chapter of American Legion Riders, raises money with rides, for many area charities. In 2008, our biggest event will be co-hosting a three day bike event, at the Clinton County Fairgrounds. This will be the first year for this event.It will include vendors, bike games,bands, etc,. tent and full hook up camping on site. We are located in a very scenic area on Lake Champlain, surrounded by the Adirondack Mountains. It is less than 1 hour from event headquarters to Montreal, Canada, Lake Placid, NY , Burlington, VT and the Green Mountains.

Tulsa Motorcycle Swap Meet

Jeff Williams Tulsa Motorcycle Swap Meet will be held July 13, 2008 at The Admiral Twin Drive-In. The Admiral Twin is located just off I-244, at 7355 East Easton Street, in Tulsa, OK 74115. These swap meets will be held outdoors regardless of the weather. There is a snack bar at the Drive-In. General admission is $5 per person. The event is open to the public from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Vendor Information: Pre-registration is not needed. Set-up for vendors begins at 6:00 am Sunday morning. Vendor fees are $5 per person, plus a $15 vendor fee per vehicle. This entitles you to as much display space as you need. Electricity, tables and chairs are not available, please bring your own. Our 37th year promoting motorcycle events.

CMN Bike Night

July 12, 2008 9th Annual “CMN” Bike Night hosted by the Gospel Riders T.E.A.M., Blue Comet Motorcycle Club, Reading Motorcycle Club, and Boyertown Borough, will hold their Bike Night, from 3 pm until 10 pm. This will take place at the Boyertown Park on Madison St. in Boyertown, PA. Event will benefit the Children’s Miracle Network for more information log onto http://www.childrensmiraclenetwork.org/ We have over 30 Motorcycle Classes, trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place winners. Bike Show sign-in is from 4 PM until 6 PM, trophies will be awarded by 10 PM. Vendor space is available for $65.00 for a 10 x 10 space [$25 for used parts for a 10 x 10]. Food Vendors cost is $125.00 for a 10x 10 space. There will be a “Bikes for Sale” Corral; to enter your Bike the cost is $5.00 per Bike. Donnie Keeler Memorial Ride/Poker Run

A ride to honor the memory of my son and to raise funds for youth scholarship to be awarded at the barbeque following the ride and the awarding of poker hand prizes and door prizes. The ride route is from Boulder through Estes Park, Loveland, Longmont, and back to Boulder.
