The Ultimate Boarder Competition

The ULTIMATE BOARDER is the only competition of its kind. There is currently NO athletic contest that takes athletes on a week long journey of snowboarding, skateboarding and surfing, from the mountains to the street and finally ending in the sea. The ULTIMATE BOARDER was created in response to the growing popularity of these sports, and as a way to promote healthy athletic lifestyles among young athletes in a positive and competitive environment that grooms role models and heroes for our country's next generation.

The ULTIMATE BOARDER competition will be held April 13th – 19th, 2008. The snowboarding competition will be held April 13th and 14th at Squaw Valley USA (Lake Tahoe, CA); the skateboarding competition is on April 16th and 17th at the Ventura County Fairgrounds (Ventura, CA), and the surfing competition is on April 18th and 19th at C Street (Ventura, CA). The crowning ceremony will be the evening of April 19th at the Ventura County Fairgrounds, followed by a live concert and celebration extravaganza to honor all contestants, family, friends and fans. The ULTIMATE BOARDER has assembled some of the industry’s top names in pro surfing, skating and snowboarding to judge the performances and crown a new hero: Tom Curren, surfing judge, Jim Rippey, snowboarding judge, and Christian Hosoi, skateboarding judge.
