The National marathon series has been reduced to 7 events with 5 to count for 2008, culminating in the final event with MTB prize giving for the year. A new category will be introduced for the 2008 series, where rider and bike’s net weight must be over 105kg’s. Once again only licensed riders qualify for points in their respective categories for the series. The accompanying half marathon events will form the half marathon series.The SA Marathon champs coincide with the 4th Leg of the Mazda Drifter series at Stellenbosch.
