The date for the SuperX finals has been set and we are looking forward to a massive showdown between the two dominant figures in the series. One a Chuck Yeager and the other a Bomfunk MC...Ocean Spirit's Gilbert Preston is making a serious challenge against the ace freestyler from Cape Sports Centre, Charl Van Tonder, who has led the series since the second round.... it can only be said that Speedfreak Master Preston and Jedi Freestyler Van Tonder, certainly demonstrate the balance between the two great forces in superX.
While the race for the crown looks like it could all be sealed up, a string of riders can still make the final place on the podium. Dark horse Theo V.T. missed the last round of the series, but with his current form at the fun day in Langebaan, the likes of Steve, Don and Toby better watch out.
Since this is the final round, the open entry fee has been dropped to that of the student fee... R50 + free SuperX T-shirt for all competitors. It's also the first week back at varsity, so expect a hoard of screaming onlookers.
