T&C Surf Grom Contest

Honolulu, Hi - 3Dimensional presents the 11th Annual T&C Surf Grom Contest on July 12 & 13th at Queen's, Waikiki. The Grom Contest is open to all amateur, non-rated bodyboard, shortboard, and longboard competitors ages 14 and under. There are different age divisions for each category. Over the two day event, 150 youngsters will challenge their friends and test their skills, competiting in the same enviornment as world class competitors of the T&C/Surfer “Hot 100“ Air Invitational. This is a great event that will help the youth gain confidence and develop surfing skills to better prepare them for the next competitive level of surfing. The T&C/Surfer “Hot 100“ Air Invtational will feature Hawaii's up and coming pro grom surfers who have already made a name for themselves in the surfing world. Competing for their share of a cash prize purse are these up an coming grom surfers who take will competitively to the skies. The objective is to launch off of a wave and obtain the highest air manuever which must be landed. “Surfer Magazine is extremely proud to support the keikis by presenting the Surfer Magazine Hot 100 Air Invitational. This element of the T&C Grom contest gives the kids a chance to meet some of the island's best aerialists and to see them in action, up close! Big props to T&C Surf for bringing such a great event to the kids of Hawaii every year" says Rick Iorns, Pubisher of Surfer Magazine. For the third year in a row, Boardstories will feature an adult and keiki tandem Boardstories Expression Session on Sudnday, July 13th. Entires for this family-friendly specialty event will be taken on the beach for 10 teams (no entry fee required). Proven to be a successful division with both fathers and mothers spending time in the water with their keiki. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers. “Year after year it just keeps getting better!
